A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be exceptionally easy if you’ve got a Linux shared hosting with us. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your hosting account. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have created listed alphabetically and next to each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly let you know whether a particular mailbox gets all the email messages for a given domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you wish. In case there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll notice a tiny button conveniently situated right next to each one. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the menu that will appear. In case any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
